I recently had a service need on JULY 3RD!! Not good...the day before the holiday! I called OBHC and they sent Matt. The service appointment was made promptly. They came first thing to get my A/C working!! Matt was awesome! He had the most positive attitude and a desire to make the customer satisfied. He promptly repaired out problem and got our air working great!! He was on he way in no time! I highly recommend OBHC!!! And Matt!!! Thank you!
Nathan called ahead, showed up on time, did a thorough job to include advising us one a failing component which he then handled at our request. At all times friendly, courteous and professional and careful of our home. OBHC has always been our provider, probably near 20 years. This was Nathan's first time here but there were no problems - he continues the tradition of excellent service.
Outer Banks Heating & Cooling are fantastic! The tech (Matt) showed up when he said, very friendly and efficient. He made sure he laid down a tarp when crawling into the upstairs crawl space and made sure anything he may have dropped was cleaned up. He even had time to play with our dog. OBH&C rocks.

I have used OB Heating & Cooling personally for 14 years and professionally for approx. 17 years prior to that and always found Brian and his staff to be knowledgeable, fair and very responsive to my HVAC needs and concerns. On May 10 Jake and Nate performed a Spring check at our house in Buxton with a filter dryer replacement and were good and quick and right on the estimate cost. Thank you all!

We appreciated the explanations of the various components of the system, and we especially appreciated the survey of our house that actually allowed us to downsize the equipment, while gaining more efficiency - we have already seen a reduction in our bills. You worked with us when we had problems with the old units - always responding in an expeditious manner. When you do not have heat or air, things are pretty urgent. You "felt our pain." The crew you sent to do the work was respectful to our beach home. There was minimal mess and we are most particular. Everything was hauled away, raked up, and left tidy. The quality of the work deserves mentioning. The stand built for the units passed Tyler's inspection with an "A." Having been in construction for 40 years, Ty is most critical. He is singing your praises! All of this is evidence of the asset you have in Roger Payton. He is a most dedicated employee and represents you at a level of excellence. I wanted to express my sincere happiness with the job that your company did at my home replacing my existing heat and air system with a new system. I have never dealt with such a professional company and employees in all the years of my working and personal life. You were very helpful in the very beginning talking with me on the phone concerning my mold and HVAC problems. Mark was extremely knowledgeable in explaining every aspect of the job that your people would be doing prior to them ever arriving. I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with Mark and his patience with me. It is unheard of in this day and time for a company to call you not once, but twice after the job was completed to make sure I was completely satisfied with the job. It has been a very long time since I encountered such professionals who knew how to handle what could have been a really stressful situation for me and my friends. Mitch and Mark along with their team members are to be commended for handling me, my friends, and this situation as efficiently as they did. I want to let you know how much I appreciate the professionalism of the two technicians who came to our home to perform the installation. Both of these guys were extremely kind and although they were exhausted from working in our hot house all day, they still took a few minutes to greet me and answer my questions. They were both very personable and made me feel totally comfortable having them in my home. I appreciate their efforts in keeping the mess to a minimum by placing a large drop cloth in the hallway from the door to the HVAC closet, and was amazed when they asked if they could use my vacuum cleaner when they were finished with the installation. I also want to let you know that Ronnie was great in keeping in touch with me during the proposal and ordering process. He made sure everything was in order prior to repairs beginning and this made the installation process move smoothly and efficiently.

I wanted to send a note to thank you for everything. I have to say that I don't think I have ever received such great customer service from anyone. If I have, it's been a long time. Everyone with your company that I have worked with has been wonderful. I was surprised at the amount of time you spent determining my needs and making sure I got the right system. The system and the modifications to the duct work have made a huge difference. Ron, Roger and Steve were also great during the installation process. Roger was very kind and patient with me and my questions. Ron constantly checked on things as the work progressed. After the install, you and Ron also followed up with me personally to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction. I will be happy to serve as a reference for you and your company should you need it.
We were very pleased with the work, equipment and knowledge that we received from Outer Banks Heating and Cooling. We had a new Carrier geothermal heating/cooling system installed in our home. Since our old system was contaminated we had no air for several weeks. My husband and I both understood that it took time to secure drilling permits and were willing to wait. Coincidentally there has been and still is a huge fire to the southwest of where we live. Depending on weather patterns huge amounts of smoke were being blown in to our area making it impossible to open the windows. Without asking, Outer Banks Heating and Cooling contacted us and offered to set up a heat pump to help us get by for the short period until our system was ready to install. We were not expecting that! A special thank you to Mark Burbic for the special care and attention to detail that we received. We look forward to a very comfortable living environment for years to come. Our house has never been more comfortable.
The company sent a technician out right away. Jake was very professional and did a wonderful job. He explained exactly what needed to be repaired and showed the staff what the issues were with the HVAC system. The repair was done quickly and he even left the work area in better condition than he found it. We will definitely use this company in the future.
I was trying to write a review for OBHC service employee Nathan , who did the semiannual maintenance on my HVAC today, Sunday June 4, 2017. I do not have accounts with the other online sites (like Facebook, etc) to post a review. I do not see a place to commend this particular employee, but he was excellent in all respects. I have been dealing with OBHC for almost 20 years and am pleased with their service. Nathan seems like a good addition to the OBHC team!

I had an issue with the technician performing work on my ac unit and charging me without my final consent. I called the Outer Banks Heating & Cooling and talked with Lexi. She talked to the technician and management and it appears to be a problem of mixed communication. She was excellent in handling the problem and handled it expeditiously and to my complete satisfaction. I will continue to use Outer Banks Heating & Cooling.
Matt was my service pro who serviced my heat pumps today. He was friendly, but professional as he went about his business servicing our units.

Outer Banks Heating and Cooling has been servicing our HVAC equipment the past several years and it became apparent this past spring that our two systems were in need of replacement. Mark Burbic was very polite and professional on the phone and I found him to be exactly the same in person. I also quickly observed during our meeting how knowledgeable and honest he was in the assessment of my equipment and what options I had to repair or replace them. Once I signed the quote, I was assigned an installation team of Tom Bruner and Roger Payton. I met Tom and Roger on the first day of the project and found them both to be very polite and professional as well. I am writing to express our complete satisfaction with the last week's replacement of the aging heat pump and air handler at our Kill Devil Hills cottage. From the initial consultation and estimate visit by Brian McDonald to the job's completion late last week, everything promised appears to have been delivered as specified in the sales contract. In fact, Outer Banks Heating and Cooling went beyond the contracted services when last Friday I happened to be at Baywood Cottage, two service technicians arrived to remove some old ductwork from the attic that were part of a system pre-dating the one that was replaced. While other contractors would no doubt have left that old ductwork in the attic, its removal by Outer Banks Heating and Cooling speaks volumes about your commitment to customer service and satisfaction. I recommend Outer Banks Heating and Cooling without reservation for any heating and air conditioning work that your future customers may want completed. Mrs. Wood was especially appreciative of finding the cottage just as clean after the work was done as it was before the work began.
